Summary/Objective
The Coordinator, Academic Wellness Coaching supports undergraduate and graduate students in achieving their academic goals through one-on-one academic wellness coaching. The Coordinator works with students on an individual basis to strengthen academic skills and develop strategies for overcoming academic obstacles. Key responsibility centers on delivering academic coaching for students proactively seeking academic wellness. The Coordinator is responsible for Academic Wellness Coaching outreach and marketing initiatives to undergraduate and graduate student populations to increase coaching service use. The Coordinator collaborates with the academic wellness coaching team and campus partners to develop and implement academic wellness coaching programs and creates data-driven academic coaching services to support retention, student success rates, and graduation efforts. This position works under general supervision.
Essential Functions
- Academic Wellness Coaching: Provide individual academic wellness coaching to undergraduate and graduate students through one-on-one appointments. Academic wellness coaching includes, but is not limited to, topics such as strategies for online learning, time management, task prioritization, breaking down assignments, task initiation & motivation, goal setting & habit building, e-mail management, test prep and study strategies, note-taking strategies, reading strategies, managing group projects, and communication with faculty. Refer students to campus partners, university resources, and submit Dean of Student Care Reports and Title XI reports when necessary. Collaborate and consult with academic advisors, Dean of Students Office, faculty, and campus partners regarding students of concern to help students achieve academic wellness.
- Academic Wellness Coaching Outreach: Coordinate Academic Coaching outreach initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students to increase coaching service use. Design, implement, and maintain CRM Advise communication flow and data collection for outreach initiatives. Coordinate with Director and campus partners to identify student needs and create targeted outreach for academic wellness. Create and publish academic wellness coaching marketing materials, including fliers, outreach cards, and service summaries for students and campus partners to increase student engagement. Provide academic skills presentations and workshops for students, peer coaches, and University staff on topics including, but not limited to, online learning, time management, task prioritization, breaking down assignments, task initiation & motivation, goal setting & habit building, e-mail management, test prep and study strategies, note-taking strategies, reading strategies, managing group projects, and communication with faculty. Provide detailed analysis of outreach outcomes in semester and year-end reports.
- Administration and Assessment: Maintain accurate records about student academic coaching sessions, outreach initiatives, student service use, and academic skills presentation and workshop attendance. Collect and input data related to academic wellness coaching, outreach initiatives, academic skills presentations and workshops and marketing materials. Maintain online appointment scheduling system and personal calendar. Collaborate with campus partners to identify students and areas in need of academic wellness marketing materials and student outreach. Inform the Director of trends, usage, and outcomes of offerings. Collaborate with Director to create, analyze, and assess data reports, annual university assessments, and national trends to determine the future of academic wellness coaching programming and its delivery. Hire, train, and manage student employees, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned. Represent UEAS at University events to educate prospective students, current students, and the AU community on Academic Wellness Coaching services. Participate in working groups and committees to advocate for student needs through the lens of academic wellness.

Salary Range

$47,000 – 50,000
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor\’s degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master\’s degree
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Experience in student academic coaching and developing marketing materials to promote academic wellness at the collegiate level.
- Working knowledge of database and scheduling systems.
- Relevant academic wellness and skills coaching experience.
- Data analysis, teaching, presentation, or facilitation experience. Experience with Canvas, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite.
