Fitness Manager
Description
Full time; Cooper Wellness Strategies. The Fitness Manager (FM) is responsible for managing onsite facility operations and programs according to Cooper Wellness Strategies’ vision, values and strategic objectives at a client fitness facility in Dallas, Texas. The FM provides positive leadership in areas of customer service, staff management and client liaison relations while overseeing the operations and financial management of the assigned client facility.
Monday-Friday, occasional weekends if needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all general onsite facility operations and financial accountability as assigned such as facility operations budget, annual facility operations planning process, onsite technology system oversight, facility marketing/communications, program planning and implementation
- Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and ensure Cooper customer service standards and expectations are met
- Provide strong leadership for facility staff with focus on training and skill development
- Develop and maintain strong partner relationship with client liaisons and other facility vendors to continually promote Cooper values
Requirements
- Ability to assess fitness levels and develop exercise prescriptions
- Experience working with older adults
- Four-year college degree in exercise physiology, exercise science or other applicable field
- At least three years of experience in either corporate, commercial or older adult fitness facility management
- Professional fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, The Cooper Institute, NASM or similar)
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
