Health Professional with Biometric Screening & Coaching Experience (Contractor)

Location:  Multiple locations |Dallas & Houston, Texas |Atlanta, Georgia | Orlando, Florida

Status: Contract position

Health Designs is a leader in worksite wellness specializing in health assessments, biometric screenings and face to face health coaching. We also support our clients with executive reporting and custom wellness interventions.  We are seeking an experienced Health Coach to support our clients with onsite screenings, coaching, workshops, and other wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Work onsite with Health Designs team or independently to provide wellness services, including fingerstick cholesterol and glucose screenings, blood pressure measurements, height, weight, and body composition, and health coaching
• Offer a high level of service, focusing on behavior change and superior client support
• Review health assessment and biometric screening data and educate participants on their results and the connection with their lifestyle behaviors
• Provide onsite intrinsic coaching, goal-setting and planning
• May be asked to provide workshops and educational opportunities to entire population

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a health promotion, nutrition, exercise science, nursing, sports medicine or health-related discipline at a minimum
• CHES certified and/or coaching certification preferred
• Preferred experience measuring biometrics (manual blood pressure, finger stick, glucose)
• Skillful in using coaching methodology to support behavior change required
• Strong and knowledgeable presenter of wellness workshops to groups preferred
• Expert communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a variety of work environments
• Flexibility in schedule
• Competent with the use of technology (iPads, web-based portals, etc.)
