Wisconsin Voices for Recovery (WIVFR) is Wisconsin’s only statewide recovery network currently supported by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Care and Treatment Services. Wisconsin has many growing Recovery Community Organizations, businesses, and other non-profit groups that are working to celebrate the strengths and address the needs of their communities.

Some goals of Wisconsin Voices for Recovery include: 1. Reduce addiction and recovery stigma through education and increasing public’s personal contact with the individuals in recovery and their family members. 2. Provide technical assistance in rural areas around development of Recovery Support Services 3. Engage in capacity building efforts in order to support other recovery community organizations and individuals 4. Focus on regional training and education Wisconsin Voices for Recovery will: BUILD strong, organized recovery communities HOST recovery activities, events, and celebrations BOOST public-policy debate ADVANCE Public-policy debate PARTNER with other statewide Recovery Community Organizations The Outreach Specialist roles & responsibilities are designed to support Wisconsin Voices for Recovery grants projects and initiatives. This position will assist with identifying and working with community-based organizations and leaders. The Outreach Specialist will engage with various organizations to gather their input on barriers to recovery and challenges faced by their communities. This position will also support integration of peer support into healthcare systems and the community as well as the development of relationships between these different partners. EDUCATION: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Preferred areas of study include Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: – Relevant work experience in Substance Use Disorders and Recovery field required – Experience with invoicing and working with grants – Experience with data entry, data monitoring, and data reports – Experience with writing program progress reports – Experience in training individuals and groups of people – Excellent communication skills, including group discussion facilitation skills required – Experience with formal and informal presentations for a variety of audiences – Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Preferred: – Working with Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs), community-based organizations relevant to Substance Use Disorders and recovery from Substance Use Disorders, and other stakeholders – Experience with Recovery Coaching and/or Peer Support Specialist Models – Knowledgeable of Recovery Support Services and treatment options for a variety of populations including BIPOC, LGBTQ, and rural. – Demonstrated commitment to diversity through knowledge in diversity, inclusion and social justice issues – Experience with REDCap – Experience with motivational interviewing – Preference will be given to candidates who are a certified CCAR Recovery Coach Trainer (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) and/or Peer Support Specialist Trainer

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Required Drivers License – Valid and Meets UW Risk Management Standards Travel is required. Must provide own transportation or a valid driver’s license and eligibility for Car Fleet usage is necessary.

This position requires some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

SALARY: Minimum $42,600 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications
