Workplace Services is accountable to the COO to provide a wide range of services in support of overall corporate operational goals. These services enable staff to conduct day-to-day business in a safe, efficient, orderly and seamless manner. This includes planning, provision and coordination of office renovations, space planning, redesign, relocations and upgrades, janitorial, maintenance including HVAC, lighting, electrical, as well as property management leases, and safety and security of personnel and physical assets.

Position Description

The Coordinator is accountable to the Manager, Workplace Services to provide a wide range of facilities related services in support of overall corporate operational goals. These services enable staff to conduct day-to-day business in a safe, efficient, orderly and seamless manner. The Coordinator provides oversight of ergonomic reviews, OFA personnel, fire wardens, and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of corporate wellness programming services, and assisting to advance the corporate wellness business line through customer relationship management, program design, and identifying new opportunities. The coordinator also chairs the wellness committee.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Superior customer service experience
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines and overall service delivery goals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and tactfully, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding of basic accounting and reconciliations
  • Experience in a corporate office
  • Certificate in ergonomic assessments
  • Occupational Health and Safety courses/certification

Preferred:

  • First aid training
  • Fire evacuation training
  • First Aid Instructor certification
  • Workplace wellness certifications (WELCOA)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Tracks training and contact information relating to the First Aid program and updates and maintains program records of OFA’s
  • Develops in-house training sessions/practice for OFA’s
  • Delivers evacuation practice for organization
  • Ensures adequate fire/evacuation wardens and delivers training/practice to wardens
  • Creates and maintains the emergency response organization structure with designated personnel and the organization of emergency drills (fire, earthquake) and building evacuations ensuring staff safety needs are addressed.
  • Deliver ergonomic assessments
  • Defines program requirements for wellness programs
  • Designs program and education material for target audience
  • Delivers and implements corporate wellness programs
  • Management of client focused corporate wellness programs and services (ie. flu clinics)
  • Ensures effective planning, scheduling and delivery of services
  • Evaluates corporate wellness programs and makes necessary improvements
