About Us
The University System of Georgia (USG) is comprised of 26 higher education institutions as well as the University System Office (USO). Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and evaluate annual program plan for USG Well-being
- Design, implement and manage policies and procedures relating to USG Well-being programs and initiatives
- Effectively market and communicate well-being programs for USG institutions system-wide in an effort to engage employees and increase participation
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in the health of the USG population
- Plan strategies to maintain and elevate the Well-being liaison network
- Support Well-being champion networks at campus locations
- Partner with Well-being liaisons at each campus to gather benchmark data to support institution well-being initiatives and projects
- Ensure quality and effectiveness of well-being and care management programs by tracking effectiveness, participation and outcomes, recommend opportunities for continual improvement
- Coordinate with the Student Health Insurance provide to administer and communicate about the plan
- Develop content and maintain Well-being website
- Manage well-being vendor relationships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent experience and training in public health or health education
- At least three years’ experience in wellness program management in a large employer setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field required or equivalent experience and training in public health or health education
- Higher education experience
- Experience with wellness program management in a diverse, multi-site organization
- Strong communication and marketing experience
- Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills
- Large Event Planning experience
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist, Certified Wellness Practitioner or Disease Management Certification, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge about current health issues and behavior-change strategies
- Knowledge of the health promotion and wellness industry
- Ability to manage multiple well-being campaign and initiatives
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to well-being programs
- Demonstrated success in planning, implementing and evaluating well-being programs
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across a variety of communication platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate across a variety of constituencies
- A genuine commitment to encourage and motivate others to maintain well-being, demonstrated through personal example
