Wellbeing Manager (Contract)

Hyatt’s wellbeing strategy, Be Well to Care, is designed to support a colleague culture of care; where our hotel and office environments across our many global locations inspire and enable colleagues to create the same caring environment. We are currently looking for a Wellbeing Manager to work on a 12 – 18 month long contract basis. The position will be responsible for leadership and implementation of Hyatt’s wellbeing strategy. This work will be lead through the lens of empathy, a core value of Hyatt, by applying design thinking principles to understand the needs of our colleagues. This position requires a high level of strategic thinking, including exceptional skills in the area of listening, understanding and designing from the end user perspective. The Wellbeing Manager must possess strong collaboration, cooperation and integration skills in order to design and implement new programs that will create a culture of wellbeing and care at Hyatt. This role will be responsible for oversight and management of employee wellbeing programs as well co-creating and testing new ideas that support Hyatt’s purpose of caring for people to be their best. Primary responsibilities of this contract role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Research emerging health and wellbeing trends and identify relevance to Hyatt
  • Identify, expand and create new initiatives that support the variety of needs our employees experience in all aspects of their lives, personally and professionally
  • Identify and foster integration and collaboration opportunities with both internal and external stakeholders to drive organizational change
  • Coordinate and implement pilot and company-wide campaigns, programs, and events (i.e., incorporating healthy activities into daily job functions, employee health and fitness day events, etc.)
  • Analyze data and develop key metrics to identify wellbeing opportunities and apply learnings strategically
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing programs and initiatives, showing value of the investment for implemented programs and improved wellbeing of employees
  • Develop and manage Wellbeing Champion network; serve as point person for Wellbeing Champions and leadership at property locations
  • Partner with internal departments (like human resources, communications, marketing, safety, operations) to generate new ideas, successfully implement and manage employee wellbeing programs, and ensure that internal and external programs are integrated effectively

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Physical Fitness, Human Resources or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience required along with 3 years focusing on health improvement/wellbeing and project management
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in worksite wellbeing, preferably at a multi-site corporate location, including planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of wellbeing programs
  • Certification from recognized wellbeing institution (i.e. WELCOA, IHPM, or similar) a plus
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
  • Travel required: up to 25%
  • Must be open to working on a contract basis
