Wellness Coordinator, The Good Life
MemorialCare is an integrated Health System in Southern California that recognizes that employees who are thriving in their overall well-being are integral to the health and performance of the organization. The Wellness Coordinator for MemorialCare’s employee wellness program called The Good Life is responsible for promotion, implementation, and administration of annual strategic objectives and programming to support all aspects of well-being. Programming includes wellness challenges and campaigns, health fairs, lunch and learns, managing fitness facilities, and collaboration with other departments to promote engagement and increase resilience.
*Note: this full time position leads The Good Life program at Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley M/W/F, and supports the senior wellness coordinator at Long Beach Medical Center T/Th.
· Expertise in health promotion, exercise science, and wellness program design.
· Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated project management skills, specifically the ability to manage time effectively to support multiple assignments, shift priorities in accordance with need and work both independently and within teams.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Health Promotion, or related field required. CPR/AED certification required, and fitness certification from nationally recognized organization such as ACSM, NASM, NSCA or ACE preferred.
