We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced wellness professional for our client located in Boston, MA. This individual will work out of the Boston, MA location and travel to agencies throughout the state. All candidates will be considered regardless of geographic location, but no relocation assistance will be provided.

Travel will be involved – 60 – 65% of the year to various agencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Goals and Objectives

  • Create a culture of health
  • Increase awareness and engagement in the company-wide health management programs
  • Provide customized support to designated locations/business units

Strategic Support

  • Drive implementation of local wellness program strategy and innovation; ensure programming is consistent with established wellness goals
  • Create and provide direction/support to wellness champion networks
  • Establish relationships and buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Act as the subject matter expert on health & wellness and behavior change topics; consult on Company’s established strategic wellness initiatives with internal and external partners
  • Utilize data to support recommendations for new health and wellness initiatives
  • Develop customized best practice report and action plan by business unit/location

Activities

  • Assist with day-to-day delivery of established programs with direction from client and StayWell Sr. Program Manager/Account Executive
  • Coordinate logistics and implement company-wide campaigns, screenings, promotions, programs, events, etc.
  • Evaluate and improve upon company policies (e.g., smoking, cafeteria, vending machines)
  • Assist with program promotion, including development and/or distribution of promotional materials
  • Develop and facilitate educational programs (i.e., courses, workshops, special events, and interactive booths)
  • Collaborate with onsite HR/Benefit teams and other Company departments (as applicable)
  • Develop and maintain files of community resources and health content for augmenting program delivery when necessary
  • Participate in client meetings when appropriate
  • Manage network of Wellness Champions
  • Manage StayWell Activate portal
  • Monitor expenditures to assure spending remains within client’s specified guidelines

Project Management

  • Create and execute project plans including development of delivery/implementation plan, action plans and tracking key project milestones
  • Document all key decisions from meetings and client conversations
  • Monitor expenditures to assure spending remains within client’s specified guidelines
  • Regular utilization of StayWell management information systems to track and evaluate program

REQUIREMENTS

  • Available to travel up to 60 – 65% on annual basis
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required in a health-related field
  • Certified Health Education Specialist and Coaching Certification preferred
  • 6 years or more relevant health promotion/wellness or health-related program planning and delivery required
  • Industry knowledge and 3 or more years direct corporate wellness experience, including implementing wellness programs
  • Experience delivering presentations to small and large groups
  • Event planning, community organizing or campaign experience
  • Proven flexibility and adaptability to changing client, program, and account needs, as well as individual communication styles
  • Excellent communication/people skills; ability to confidently interact with all levels of management including senior management
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and take action on program reports and metrics
  • A record of generating ideas, proposing and implementing creative solutions and showing results
  • Project management and planning skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills and the ability to maintain multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Independent problem solving and decision making ability
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for corporate wellness programs
  • Familiar with the legal and regulatory environment of the health management arena, such as HIPAA and ADA
  • Comfort with online applications or social networking sites (like Facebook or similar), Outlook and Microsoft Office products
