Community Wellness Coordinator

Our Community Wellness Coordinator will support our Southeast Wisconsin community and is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of community wellness programs. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, the person in this role will deliver programs that drive value, improve health and increase engagement. This position will support Network Health’s efforts and strategies to engage and support community-based organizations in our growth, retention, and customer experience objectives across the state.

The person in this role will be responsible for providing program administration, communications, tools, metric analysis and customer service to members. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in regards to member-based and employer-based wellness programs and will be responsible for executing on-site health screenings, educational events (online, on-site) and health coaching (online, on-site, telephonic). The Community Wellness Coordinator will assist in managing resources, materials, meetings and information in support of Network Health’s strategic goals This role will have varying areas of focus depending on business need, this coordinator could be the SME for employer-based and/or member-based wellness. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates commitment and behavior aligned with the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Network Health and maintains relationships with community entities to further promote Network Health mission.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers in the development and implementation of wellness initiatives and strategies.
  • Assists with ensuring the accuracy of rewards earned and delivered.
  • Ongoing maintenance of wellness platforms and provides feedback to enhance and maintain the platforms.
  • Responsible for communication and problem solving.
  • Support the organization’s efforts in creating a value-added program within the community statewide.
  • Develops, maintains, and deepens relationships with key business leaders, community-business organizations and providers.
  • Develops strategy and manages logistics both internally and externally for community initiatives and events. Responsibilities include supporting both internal and external coordination of initiatives focused on growth, retention and engagement for all lines of business.  
  • Maintains relationship with external vendors and occupational health services in the appropriate deployment of resources and services in alignment with contracts as needed to support wellness objectives.
  • Promotes preventive wellness practices that impact gap of care closure.
  • May work directly with employer groups to drive organizational wellness including on-site health screenings, educational events (online, on-site) and health coaching (online, on-site, telephonic).
  • May provide Medicare and Commercial members with wellness programs including on-site health screenings, educational events (online, on-site) and health coaching (online, on-site, telephonic).
  • Assists members with questions, explains wellness program components, trouble shoots problems with receipt of data, and communicates issues with Customer Service, wellness coordinators and IS. Documents concerns as appropriate for follow-up.
  • Create written materials for both internal and external customers in formats such as newsletters, reports, and presentations.
  • Participates in Community Engagement planning, brainstorming and committees
  • Will need to travel to support Community Engagement events or meetings relating to our community partners.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, education, community health or related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, business administration, health care management or job-related experience.


Minimum Related Years of Experience (per minimum education) Required:

  • 1-3 years experience in corporate wellness and/or health promotion related field required.
  • Experience working with website content management experience
  • 3 – 5 years project coordination required, community outreach experience preferred

Credential/Licensure Required:

  • A valid driver’s license with fairly clean driver’s record is required in this role.  

Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration and will be based out of our Brookfield office with flexibility of a hybrid workplace model
