Introduction

We are seeking a Director, Employer Partnerships who will lead Thrive’s efforts to identify mutually beneficial partnerships with employers, benefit brokers, and municipalities. This includes identifying targets, development of those targets through a vetting process, managing the contracting process with selected partners, and maintaining relationships over time. An ideal candidate will have an established track record of establishing strong business relationships with internal stakeholder organizations as well as client executives and a history of consistently exceeding objectives. This individual must also have a strong passion for customer/patient service and desire to ensure that this passion is shared by the broader organization. This field-based role will report to the Sr. Director, Business and Partnership Development and will have regular interactions with Thrive senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Thrive’s employer vertical market by prospecting and qualifying new accounts, drive awareness through benefits brokers while also identifying municipalities who are active in health and wellness.
  • Help drive awareness with Payers through established relationships with employers, benefits brokers, and municipalities.
  • Be a thought partner in creating value-add messaging, market strategies, and customer support tools.
  • Bring the voice of the customer to Thrive’s Payer Relations, Marketing and Customer Success teams to create the best-in-class patient/physician experience.
  • Prepare and maintain integrated account plans to create awareness for internal teams.
  • Understand future employer market access scenarios and challenges and help lead the creation of the market access value stories and strategic alternatives to inform strategic planning to ensure minimal barriers to launch and uptake.
  • Oversee onboarding process for partners, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders (legal, compliance, procurement) and tracking/reporting on achievement of partnership milestones.
  • Maintain an expert understanding of the competitive healthcare, payer, and community environment in healthcare and of emerging competitors moves that pose a risk to company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Five years management experience and at least ten years working with employers, benefit brokers, or municipalities.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing product and service solutions to organizations.
  • Experience in setting up partnership models with employers.
  • Ability to develop and build relationships at the senior and c-suite levels.
  • Intellectually curious & insightful: Able to develop a deep understanding of the intricacies of the product, employer, provider, and payer landscapes. Combines a passion for learning, both from data sources and people, with the ability to continuously scan the environment for new information, insights, and solutions to problems.
  • Driven to achieve results: Driven to achieve high standards of performance and a track record of delivering exceptional results. Desire to capitalize on opportunities, to strive for constant improvement and development, and to continuously redefine goals and objectives.
