Title: Director of Wellness and Population Health

Innovative Benefit Planning is currently seeking a Director of Wellness and Population Health. Innovative Wellness is a rapidly growing practice with the mission of promoting healthy lifestyles that in turn support a work environment that is conducive to success. Through networking and marketing, our Director of Wellness and Population Health promotes the many positive aspects of Innovative’s wellness initiatives that ultimately improve the health and wellness outcomes of the member populations we serve. Whether it’s a company-wide or an individual solution, our program develops a wellness relationship with our members that fosters positive behavior change and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and executes programs to activate health and welfare strategies that drive the brand and business growth.
  • Analyzes biometric testing, health risk assessments, pharmaceutical use, and claims data, to provide effective individualized initiatives around disease management and health education for our clients.
  • Builds models, plans for and coordinates initiatives to improve performance against client contract metrics.
  • Provides subject-matter expertise in program development.
  • Develops and conducts wellness seminars and training courses for employers, interested employees, and their families.
  • Responsible for deliverables of client engagements, including project timelines and logistics
  • Coordinate and oversee coaching/counseling client-members with the goal to make lasting lifestyle changes to achieve and maintain optimal health.
  • Use healthcare expertise to assist clients with navigating the health system, interpreting physician instructions, and maintaining medication compliance.
  • Act as a data and technical resource for clients and sales team as applicable
  • Keeping abreast of current industry, market, and policy landscape.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on relevant wellness topics at seminars to current and prospective clients.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Advanced degree preferred; MSC degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Communications, RD or other relevant discipline.
  • One to three years of experience at a director or senior manager level of a wellness division preferred.
  • Experience as a Wellness Coach preferred.
  • Minimum three years of management experience.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • Must have well-developed emotional and social competencies including strong interpersonal communication, customer service, and follow-up skills
  • Knowledge of specific disease and lifestyle related topics such as smoking cessation weight management, nutrition, pre-post-natal care, stress reduction and chronic conditions.
  • Knowledge of health care, health insurance, and health policy.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of healthcare metrics and the use of analytical skills.
  • Experience with predictive modeling.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial outlook with strong collaborations skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and lead client interactions at C-level.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent MS Office skills with particular expertise in both Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player, excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • A self-starter.
