Manager CaroMont Health & Fitness Center/Wellness

Job Summary: Manages all health and wellness promotion programs, services and activities based on determined goals as delivered by Employee Health, Wellness and CaroMont Health & Fitness Center teams.  To manage the day to day activities of the CaroMont Health & Fitness Center.  Operate the CaroMont Health & Fitness Center within budgetary constraints.  Ensure programs are in compliance with applicable State laws and certification requirements.  Promote Cardiac, Pulmonary, Diabetes, Cancer, Obesity and other programs related to the wellness goals.  Coordinate quality assurance and continuous performance improvement activities.  Actively communicate the Center’s purpose to employees, physicians, volunteers and chaplains and the public at large.  Work closely with the Center’s staff and the Directors of Chronic Care, Outpatient Rehab and Wellness to create an integrated delivery of CaroMont services to the consumer. Develop a Medical Advisory Committee to support the strategic development of the Medical Wellness Program. Develops goals and performance metrics based on hospital priorities and by assessing needs of the hospital.

Qualifications:   Educational equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree, (Master’s degree preferred and/or RN preferred) with certification or licensure in a recognized allied health field such as exercise physiology, nutrition, nursing, respiratory or physical therapy.  General knowledge of cardiopulmonary and metabolic disorders, disease processes, diagnosis, risk factors, treatments and pharmacology. Certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Physical Activity Public Health Specialist highly recommended and a certification in CPR/AED.  Five to ten years experience in the field.
