As Wellness Coach and Program Manager, you will drive our programming, lead our wellness team, and inspire our people to bring a healthier balance to our jobs, our families, and our world.

DURING A TYPICAL DAY (IF THERE IS ONE)…

• Develop, implement, and communicate a wide variety of wellness programming, including special messaging, challenges, and events.
• Remain visible in the on-site Sioux Falls wellness facility and interact with team members and their family members.
• Maintain a continual focus on increasing program membership and maximize program engagement through creative communications and promotional events.
• Support remote team members and on-site gym facilities at all of our biorefinery locations.
• Enthusiastically engage with new hires to bring our POET Wellness Vision and Mission to life.
• Communicate regularly with our facilities team to ensure all cleanliness standards for our on-site wellness spaces are maintained; may also personally organize, stock and sanitize wellness spaces.
• Oversee and support our on-site food and beverage service vendor partnership.
• Supervise the POET food market offerings and partnerships.
• Identify opportunities to promote POET Wellness initiatives externally and act as a champion of POET Wellness and POET in the community.
• Prepare and manage operating budget.
• Effectively manage the wellness team; leadership responsibilities also include delegating, coaching, managing performance and career development to effectively execute departmental strategies and support company objectives.

STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

• You have deep local connections in the Sioux Falls community, which you can leverage to bring creative and unique wellness experiences to our team members.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Health or Wellness Management – or a similar field of study.
• You have experience, ability and interest in planning and leading wellness-related workshops/classes.
• You have past or current people leadership experience.
• Those who know you would describe you as independent, self-motivated, and driven.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to create and embrace change.
• You communicate effectively in writing and in-person – including both one-on-one conversations and to various groups of any size.
• You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite and are capable of learning new programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position works in our on-site gym and in an office setting where work will be performed at a computer where you may sit or stand.
• Up to 10% travel with minimal overnight stays may be required.
