Wellness/Fitness Specialist

General Statement of Duties: Duties include but are not limited to the following: providing a friendly point of contact and act as a focal point of communication; facility and equipment maintenance, programming, facility orientations, assist in planning, promotion and evaluation of health and wellness programs assist and implement incentive programs, oversee the daily operations of wellness center.

Examples of Work Performed: The Wellness Center Attendant will ensure proper use of all equipment and the safety of all patrons; operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information regarding events and memberships; log employees in when needed; acts as a role model of the wellness center; professional in appearance, and maintain a constant positive attitude; respond to emails; sign up employees in the gym system; washing, drying, and folding of towels; daily interaction with employees, including upper management and owners; providing a quality membership experience; informing supervisor of needed maintenance supplies; assist with the inventory of equipment, handling parts and service orders; other duties as directed by management.

Employment Standards: Working towards degree in health/fitness or related field and/or certification as a Personal Trainer preferred. CPR certification required. Demonstrate interest in fitness, health and well-being and have a strong desire to assist others in adopting a healthy lifestyle. Must be personable, positive and have strong interpersonal communication skills.
